Azafea - A Spanish Odyssey

Duo Lev-Yulzari (with Frank London & John Hadfield)

COLLECTION DECOUVERTES, VOL. 2

AZAFEA, second volume of the collection "Découvertes" (Discoveries), invites us over the seas, on the paths of Sefaradic Jews who preserved the Spanish musical heritage, while they also adapted it to the musics of the countries where they settled (Turkey, South America, Israel...).

French double-bass player Rémy Yulzari and Israeli guitarist Nadav Lev are two solists with amazing trajectories, praised all over the world. From New York to Jerusalem, from Tokyo to Paris, this duo travels across the most prestigious concert halls, and draws from art music as well as from popular memory a repertory that shapes original and tasteful programs, where different musical genres enter in a thoughtful dialogue.

On this recording, the trumpeter Frank London and the percussionist John Hadfield join them.

Te duo is currently touring in France and in Europe, click here to know more about their coming concerts.
