Baroque Jewish Music in the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries.
This program, hosted by Hélène Engel, is based on the 10th volume of the collection Musical Heritage of Jews from France.
This CD has been recorded during a concert of baroque Jewish music in Paris, organized by the organisation YUVAL, in memory of its founder and musicologist, [http://iemj.org/en/onlinecontent/biographies/adler-israel-1925-2009.html?lang=en]

Hélène Engel is a singer, musicologist, author, composer and arranger. She is interested in all aspects of Jewish music, from the collecting of historical sounds to today’s compositions. Based in Montreal, she hosts the radio show " The hidden sides of Jewish Music" on Radio SHALOM Montreal.
