{"id":107803,"date":"2024-01-17T17:24:41","date_gmt":"2024-01-17T16:24:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/sefarad-in-the-piano-toni-costa\/"},"modified":"2025-10-19T17:23:31","modified_gmt":"2025-10-19T15:23:31","slug":"sefarad-in-the-piano-toni-costa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/de\/sefarad-in-the-piano-toni-costa\/","title":{"rendered":"Sefarad in the piano &#8211; Toni Costa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Inspiriert von j\u00fcdisch-spanischer Volksdichtung, Jazz, alter Musik und den popul\u00e4ren Rhythmen des Flamenco bietet diese originelle CD 10 j\u00fcdisch-spanische Melodien, die von dem Pianisten Toni Costa neu interpretiert wurden.<\/p>\n<p>Der in Barcelona geborene Toni Costa ist ein hochrangiger Pianist und Improvisator, der derzeit in der Schweiz lebt, wo er als Begleiter des zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Tanzes des Balletts des Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Gen\u00e8ve t\u00e4tig ist.<\/p>\n<p>Tony Costa, der sich leidenschaftlich f\u00fcr die Geschichte der spanischen Juden interessiert, hat sich mit dem Leben und Werk von Do\u00f1a Gracia Nasi (ca. 1510 &#8211; 1569) befasst, einer wohlhabenden Marranerin, die mit den Gr\u00f6\u00dften verkehrte und ihr Leben der Unterst\u00fctzung verfolgter Juden widmete. Als Ehefrau des 1536 fr\u00fch verstorbenen Joseph Francesco Mendes Nasi reiste Gracia Nasi durch Europa, von Lissabon \u00fcber Antwerpen, London, Venedig und Ferrara, bevor sie sich 1553 in Istanbul niederlie\u00df, wo sie Handelsaktivit\u00e4ten entwickelte und eine diplomatische Rolle von internationalem Format im Dienste des Sultans Suleiman des Pr\u00e4chtigen spielte.<\/p>\n<p>Als sie zum Judentum zur\u00fcckkehrte, f\u00f6rderte sie die j\u00fcdische Kultur, lie\u00df Synagogen, Jeschiwot und Bibliotheken errichten und trug zur Herausgabe von B\u00fcchern bei, insbesondere in j\u00fcdisch-spanischer Sprache, um ihren Glaubensbr\u00fcdern zu helfen, ihren Glauben und ihre Kultur wiederzufinden. Im Jahr 1558 lie\u00df sie sich in der Region Tiberias nieder, um f\u00fcr die Juden, die sich dort niederlassen wollten, wieder eine Heimat aufzubauen. Diese Initiative hatte leider nicht den gew\u00fcnschten Erfolg und Gracia Nasi starb am 3. Jahrhunderts bis heute neu interpretiert werden, insbesondere durch die barocke Polyphonie, den Flamenco und den Jazz.
