Es handelt sich um ein Forschungsprojekt des <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jmth.gr\/article-17102023-ta-tragoudia-tou-olokautwmatos-twn-ellinwn-evraiwn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">J\u00fcdischen Museums Thessaloniki<\/a> unter der Schirmherrschaft der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jct.gr\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">J\u00fcdischen Gemeinde Thessaloniki<\/a>, das vom European Jewish Fund, der Claims Conference und der Abteilung f\u00fcr Geschichte und Arch\u00e4ologie der Aristoteles-Universit\u00e4t Thessaloniki kofinanziert wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Bei den Liedern handelt es sich \u00fcberwiegend um Bearbeitungen europ\u00e4ischer Volkslieder, um Film- und Opernsongs, um griechische Volkslieder oder Rebetika<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_119658_1('footnote_plugin_reference_119658_1_1');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_119658_1('footnote_plugin_reference_119658_1_1');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_119658_1_1\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[1]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_119658_1_1\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">Rebetiko ist ein popul\u00e4rer Musikstil, der Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts in den griechischen Gemeinden Kleinasiens entstand und sich sp\u00e4ter in ganz Griechenland verbreitete. W\u00e4hrend des Holocaust haben griechische Juden diese Lieder mit neuen Texten versehen, die von ihren Hoffnungen oder \u00c4ngsten, ihrer Liebe zu ihrem Heimatland Griechenland und\/oder ihrer Heimatstadt Thessaloniki erz\u00e4hlen. Dadurch werden diese Lieder oft zu einer Quelle historischer Informationen \u00fcber den Holocaust. Sie k\u00f6nnen in drei Hauptkategorien eingeteilt werden: Lieder, die im Baron-Hirsch-Ghetto in Thessaloniki geschrieben wurden, Lieder, die in den Lagern von Auschwitz geschrieben wurden und schlie\u00dflich Lieder, die von \u00dcberlebenden nach dem Holocaust geschrieben wurden.<\/p>\n<p>Initiatorin des Projekts ist die Sopranistin Mariangela Chatzistamatiou. Nach einem Konzert im Dezember 2016 in der j\u00fcdischen Gemeinde von Volos (Griechenland) interessierte sie sich f\u00fcr die Lieder der j\u00fcdischen Tradition und begann zu recherchieren. Da die Mehrheit der griechischen Juden im Holocaust ausgel\u00f6scht wurde, <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_119658_1('footnote_plugin_reference_119658_1_2');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_119658_1('footnote_plugin_reference_119658_1_2');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_119658_1_2\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[2]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_119658_1_2\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">insbesondere die Gemeinde in Thessaloniki, die einst als \u201eJerusalem des Balkans\u201c bezeichnet wurde<\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_119658_1_2').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_119658_1_2', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top center', relative: true, offset: [-7, 0], });<\/script>, interessierte sie sich f\u00fcr die Holocaust-Lieder, die von den wenigen \u00dcberlebenden des Massakers geschrieben oder in Erinnerung behalten wurden. Daraus entstand eine Sammlung von 16 Liedern, die in diesem Band in griechischer und englischer Sprache vorgestellt werden.<\/p>\n<p>Der erste Teil des Buches beschreibt den Kontext, in dem Mariangela Chatzistamatiou ihre Forschung durchgef\u00fchrt hat, und wird von einleitenden Texten bedeutender Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten wie Maria Farantouri, Leon Nar, Betty Magrizou, Professor Giorgos Antoniou und David Saltiel, Pr\u00e4sident des Zentralrats der j\u00fcdischen Gemeinden in Griechenland, begleitet.<\/p>\n<p>Der zweite Teil der Sammlung, der sich in drei Teile gliedert (Songs of the Ghetto, Songs of the Camps und After the Holocaust), stellt die Texte dieser 16 Lieder, ihre Quellen und den Kontext ihrer Auff\u00fchrung vor.<\/p>\n<p>Am Ende des Buches befindet sich ein QR-Code, mit dem die Lieder auf der <a href=\"https:\/\/youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLa-jfKKSuwPIdTUh3E2pf_HxvOG9_z2H5&amp;si=4Qq07H8yqlXe9toW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube-Seite des J\u00fcdischen Museums Thessaloniki<\/a> angeh\u00f6rt werden k\u00f6nnen.
