Dieser Brauch basiert auf den <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Thirteen_Attributes_of_Mercy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">13 g\u00f6ttlichen Attributen der Barmherzigkeit<\/a>, die der \u00dcberlieferung nach, Moses von Gott \u00fcbergeben wurden (Exodus, 34, 6-7). Urspr\u00fcnglich wurden die <em>Slichot<\/em> w\u00e4hrend der Jom-Kippur- und Fastengottesdienste gelesen. Dann weitete sich der Brauch, auf die 10 Tage (<em>Jamim Noraim<\/em>), zwischen Rosch ha-Schana und Kippur, aus. Die aschkenasische und die chassidische Gemeinschaft sprechen die <em>Slichot <\/em>an dem Samstag, welcher dem Fest Rosch ha-Schana (um mindestens vier Tage) vorausgeht. Die sephardischen Gemeinschaften wiederum, lesen sie ab dem 1. Elul, vierzig Tage lang bei Sonnenaufgang und vor dem Morgengebet.<\/p>\n<p>Auf der folgenden Playlist ist eine Auswahl an <em>Slichot <\/em>zu h\u00f6ren, die aus dem Osmanischen Reich stammen und von legend\u00e4ren K\u00fcnstlern, wie Ha\u00efm Effendi (1853-1938) oder Isaac Algazi (1889-1950), vorgetragen werden.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jewish-music.huji.ac.il\/content\/haim-effendi\">Ha\u00efm Effendi<\/a> wurde 1853 in Edirne (fr\u00fcher Adrianopel) geboren, einem der bedeutendsten Zentren der sephardischen religi\u00f6sen Musik des Osmanischen Reichs. Durch die zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts aufkommende Plattenindustrie, konnte der Klang seiner unvergleichlichen Stimme bewahrt werden.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sephardicmusic.org\/artists\/Algazi,Isaac\/Algazi,Isaac.htm\">Isaac Algazi<\/a> wurde am 24. April 1889 als Sohn des Kantors Salomon Algazi, in Izmir geboren. Nach dem Studium der profanen und liturgischen Musik, wurde er 1908 Kantor der Beit Israel Synagoge. 1923 zog er nach Istanbul und wurde 1929 Kantor und Musiklehrer an der sephardischen \u201eitalienischen\u201c Synagoge des Galata-Bezirks in Istanbul. Zwischen 1909 und 1929 nahm Issac Algazi zahlreiche Aufnahmen sephardischer Melodien bei den bekanntesten Musiklabels Columbia, Favorite, Gramophone, Odeon und Path\u00e9 auf. 1933 zog er nach Paris, wo er im Dienst der Gro\u00dfen Synagoge stand. 1935 emigrierte er schlie\u00dflich nach Uruguay, wo er bis zu seinem Tod im Jahr 1950, in Montevideo blieb.<\/p>\n<p>Neben dieser beiden f\u00fcr die osmanischen Kantorenkunst ber\u00fchmten K\u00fcnstler, beinhaltet die Playlist auch Feldaufnahmen der MusikwissenschaftlerInnen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jewish-music.huji.ac.il\/content\/edith-esther-gerson-kiwi\">Edith Gerson-Kiwi<\/a> und <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/en\/sillamy-jean-claude-1932-2016\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jean-Claude Sillamy<\/a>. Es gibt \u00fcberdies auch modernere, auf Kassette oder CD aufgenommene Versionen der <em>Slichot<\/em>, etwa vom 1950 in Istanbul geborenen <a href=\"https:\/\/sephardiccenter.wordpress.com\/music-2\/izzet-bana-estreyikas-destambol\/\">Izzet Bana<\/a> oder der S\u00e4ngerin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hadass.p.yarden\">Hadass
