Jahrhundert konzentrierte sich das j\u00fcdische Leben in Frankreich auf drei Hauptgebiete: das Comtat Venaissin, den S\u00fcdwesten Frankreichs und Elsass-Lothringen. Die musikalischen Praktiken wurden dabei, vor allem m\u00fcndlich \u00fcberliefert.<\/p>\n<p>Die Konsistorialreformen des fr\u00fchen 19. Jahrhunderts brachten tiefgreifende Ver\u00e4nderungen in die musikalischen Praktiken der Synagogen: Musik wurde notiert, Ch\u00f6re gegr\u00fcndet und die instrumentale Begleitung eingef\u00fchrt. Doch der Zweite Weltkrieg und die demografischen Umw\u00e4lzungen des 20. Jahrhunderts f\u00fchrten zum Verschwinden dieser drei Traditionen. Dennoch handelt es sich um zutiefst originelle musikalische Traditionen. Die comtadiner Musik geriet zwar in Vergessenheit, bewahrte aber dennoch, den Charme der provenzalischen Musik des 18. Jahrhunderts. Man verfasste die religi\u00f6sen Poesien in provenzalischer Sprache, die zum Teil auch mit der hebr\u00e4ischen und der aram\u00e4ischen Sprache vermischt wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Die Traditionen von Bordeaux oder Bayonne erfuhren, \u00e4hnlich der Tradition der ehemals portugiesischen Nationalit\u00e4t aus dem S\u00fcdwesten Frankreichs, ein schwieriges Schicksal. Sie verwoben sich mit Musik unterschiedlichster Herkunft, von antiken biblischen Kantillationen \u00fcber die harmonisierten Arrangements des 19. Jahrhunderts, bis hin zu den sanften andalusischen Melodien des mittelalterlichen Spaniens.<\/p>\n<p>Die Konsistorialmusik offenbarte schlie\u00dflich mit dem Orgeleinsatz, der Harmonie gemischter Ch\u00f6re und den mit Sorgfalt bedachten Arrangements, ein Bestreben, den \u00e4sthetischen Kanon der Zeit zu integrieren und sich der Moderne zu \u00f6ffnen.<\/p>\n<p>Diese CD beinhaltet zahlreiche bisher unver\u00f6ffentlichte Musikst\u00fccke, welche von Adolphe Attia, Mag Tayar und dem Chor von Michel Podolak aufgenommen wurden und gew\u00e4hrt so einen \u00dcberblick \u00fcber die comtadiner, die portugiesische und die aschkenasische liturgische Tradition im Frankreich des 18. und des 19.
