Der Gr\u00fcnder des Ensembles ist <strong>Oro Anahory-Librowicz<\/strong>, welcher urspr\u00fcnglich aus T\u00e9touan stammt und einen Doktortitel in hispanischen Studien von der renommierten New Yorker Columbia University besitzt. Er, ein ausgewiesener Spezialist der sephardischen jud\u00e4o-spanischen Musiktraditionen, hat das Ensemble mit dem Ziel gegr\u00fcndet, die jud\u00e4o-spanische Musiktradition Marokkos durch die Interpretation von Liedern und Romanzen, welche von den Juden aus dem Norden Marokkos seit ihrer Vertreibung aus Spanien im Jahr 1492, \u00fcberliefert wurden, zu bewahren und zu verbreiten. K\u00fcrzlich vermachte das Ensemble der Nationalbibliothek Israels die Aufnahmen und erl\u00e4uternde Texte von hunderten von sephardischen jud\u00e4o-spanischen Liedern, welche seit den fr\u00fchen 1980er Jahren, aus den sephardischen Gemeinschaften in aller Welt zusammengetragen wurden.<\/p>\n<p><em><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-28313\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/couv_de_fiestas_y_alegrias_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg\" alt=\"couv_de_fiestas_y_alegrias_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg\" width=\"238\" height=\"240\" align=\"right\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/couv_de_fiestas_y_alegrias_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg 238w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/couv_de_fiestas_y_alegrias_redim_240_px_vertic-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/couv_de_fiestas_y_alegrias_redim_240_px_vertic-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 238px) 100vw, 238px\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>G\u00e9rineldo<\/em> war urspr\u00fcnglich der Name einer bekannten sephardischen Romanze aus dem Mittelalter, welche von der ungew\u00f6hnlichen Reise eines verliebten und vom Leben verw\u00f6hnten Mannes handelt.<\/p>\n<p>Unter der Leitung von <strong>Oro Anahory-Librowicz <\/strong>und seinem treuen Begleiter der ersten Stunde, <strong>Solly L\u00e9vy<\/strong>, stie\u00dfen sp\u00e4ter <strong>Judith Cohen<\/strong> und <strong>Kelly Amar <\/strong>zu der Gruppe. Judith Cohen, eine Aschkenasin aus Montreal ist Doktorin der Ethnomusikologie an der Universit\u00e4t Montreal und anerkannte Spezialistin f\u00fcr traditionelle j\u00fcdisch-spanische orientalische und marokkanische Musik und arbeitet heute als Professorin an der York University in Toronto. Kelly Amar ist ihrerseits eine der besten Solistinnen des Chorale Kinor des Centre Communautaire Juif de Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft  wp-image-28315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/couv_el_medio_de_quel_camino_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg\" alt=\"couv_el_medio_de_quel_camino_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg\" width=\"220\" height=\"224\" align=\"left\" \/>Zwischen 1981 und 1994 gab die Gruppe <em>Gerineldo <\/em>im Rahmen der <em>Quinzaine S\u00e9pharade<\/em> zahlreiche Konzerte in Montreal und anderen kanadischen St\u00e4dten, sowie in Israel, Spanien, in den Vereinigten Staaten, in Venezuela\u2026 Tourneen, welche allesamt \u00fcberaus erfolgreich waren.<\/p>\n<p>1994 h\u00f6rte <em>Gerineldo<\/em>, aus Solidarit\u00e4t mit Kelly Amar, welche gerade ihren Mann verloren hatte und es deshalb nicht \u00fcbers Herz brachte, auf der B\u00fchne zu singen, pl\u00f6tzlich auf, verzichtete auf weitere Auftritte und alle Mitglieder beschlossen, die k\u00fcnstlerische T\u00e4tigkeit der Gruppe zu beenden.<\/p>\n<p>Nach 20 Jahren feierte <em>Gerineldo <\/em>im Fr\u00fchling 2014 sein fulminantes Comeback mit einem ersten Konzert im Rahmen der <em>Journ\u00e9es du juda\u00efsme marocain<\/em>, welches im M\u00e4rz 2014 in Paris, unter der Schirmherrschaft seiner Majest\u00e4t Mohammed VI, K\u00f6nig von Marokko, stattfand. Es folgten daraufhin weitere, vom Publikum gefeierte Auftritte, welche <img decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-28317\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/couv_me_vaya_kappara_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg\" alt=\"couv_me_vaya_kappara_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg\" width=\"234\" height=\"240\" align=\"right\" \/> etwa von dem jud\u00e4o-spanischen Verein <em>Aki Estamos<\/em> in Paris oder von der Alliance fran\u00e7aise in Toronto veranstaltet wurden. Der Gruppe schlossen sich zu diesem Zeitpunkt zwei talentierte junge S\u00e4nger an: <strong>Tamar Ilana<\/strong>, die Tochter von Judith Cohen, sowie <strong>Matan Boker<\/strong>, dem Enkel von Solly L\u00e9vy. Sie brachten somit frischen Wind in das musikalische Ensemble, welches sich vollkommen der Bewahrung des marokkanischen jud\u00e4o-spanischen Musikerbes verschrieben hat. 2015, stand der Oud-Virtuose <strong>Demetrios Petsalakis<\/strong>, anl\u00e4sslich des <em>Festival S\u00e9farad de Montr\u00e9al<\/em>, mit Gerineldo auf der B\u00fchne.<\/p>\n<p>Ungl\u00fccklicherweise verstarb Solly L\u00e9vy am 10.
