Da sie haupts\u00e4chlich von und f\u00fcr Nichtjuden gespielt wird, wurde sie als &#8222;falsche Lklore&#8220;, &#8222;j\u00fcdisches Disneyland&#8220; und sogar als &#8222;kulturelle Nekrophilie&#8220; bezeichnet.<\/p>\n<p>Klezmer&#8217;s Afterlife, was man mit &#8222;Das zweite Leben des Klezmer&#8220; \u00fcbersetzen kann, ist das erste Buch, das sich mit dieser faszinierenden Musikszene in Mitteleuropa auseinandersetzt und Musiker, Produzenten und Konsumenten dieser wiederbelebten Klezmermusik zu Wort kommen l\u00e4sst. Indem die Autorin Magdalena Waligorska die g\u00e4ngigen Annahmen in Frage stellt, dass die Wiederbelebung des Klezmers in Deutschland und Polen lediglich das Ergebnis eines Schuldgef\u00fchls ist, das in den Jahren nach der Shoah entstand, untersucht sie die Folgen des Klezmer-Booms an diesen Orten.<\/p>\n<p>Indem sie nicht nur eine Dokumentation der Klezmer-Renaissance in zwei der europ\u00e4ischen Hauptst\u00e4dte Krakau und Berlin sowie eine Analyse der dadurch erzeugten Beziehungen zwischen Juden und Nichtjuden bietet, zeigt Waligorska, wie die Klezmer-Renaissance das Bild des Juden in der polnischen und deutschen Popul\u00e4rkultur dupliziert und neu erfindet, wie diese Musik schlie\u00dflich zum Soundtrack der Shoah-Gedenkfeiern wird und wie sie als leuchtendes Beispiel f\u00fcr den Erfolg der lokalen Kulturpolitik herangezogen wird.
