L. Peretz inspiriert sind, f\u00fchrt einen unbekannten Teil des Klezmer-Repertoires vor. Wenn, wie die Band in einem Interview erkl\u00e4rte, das Wiederaufleben des Klezmers in den Vereinigten Staaten vor allem um das Repertoire aus Bessarabien herum erfolgte, war die Vielfalt der von den Juden in Osteuropa gespielten Stilen nicht vertreten. Dies gilt insbesondere f\u00fcr das Repertoire und den Stil aus Polen, das zum Teil l\u00e4ndlich gepr\u00e4gt war und f\u00fcr das es weniger oder gar keine verf\u00fcgbaren Quellen gibt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das gro\u00dfartige Trio Veretski Pass, bestehend aus Cookie Segelstein (Geige), Joshua Horowitz (Akkordeon, Zymbal) und Stuart Brotman (Basscello), hat sich mit dem Klarinettisten Joel Rubin zusammengeschlossen. Sie haben ihr Fachwissen und ihre Forschungen in den Dienst einer erstaunlichen und originellen CD gestellt, die ein bisschen an die Arbeit der Gruppe Litvakus f\u00fcr das Klezmer-Repertoire aus den Regionen Litauen und Wei\u00dfrussland ankn\u00fcpft. Sie haben diese Perlen der polnischen Klezmer-Musik mit gro\u00dfem Talent aufgenommen, direkt und ohne Nachbearbeitung. Ihr Repertoire umfasst kosmopolitische Gesellschaftst\u00e4nze aus dem st\u00e4dtischen Umfeld, eher repetitive, erdige T\u00e4nze, die sich der Trance ann\u00e4hern, chassidische T\u00e4nze und St\u00fccke aus den Sammlungen von Kolberg (1814-1890), einem katholischen Priester, der j\u00fcdische Melodien sammelte und in seinen 33 B\u00e4nden mit Musik ver\u00f6ffentlichte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die sehr sch\u00f6nen Illustrationen der CD und die grafische Gestaltung stammen von <a href=\"http:\/\/www.poyln.com\/Poyln\/Artwork.html#grid\">Phil Blank<\/a>.
