Klezmer Band Workshop

By "Klezmalyon"

(Lyon, France) The association "klezmalyon" offers you to participate in a Klezmer Orchestra, in the form of a monthly workshop (one Saturday morning per month from 9h to 13h) at the Parish Hall.

The sessions will be guided by the musicians of the collective "Chic du Klezmer" with mainly Ludovic Lantner (violin), Elsa Ille (accordion), Clementine Chauvaux (clarinet).

The idea is to learn a set of melodies, dances and songs from the Klezmer repertoire from historical sound sources to current music (either by oral transmission or with scores).
It is to discover and deepen the style and characteristics of these traditional music.
It is to set up a set of set allowing in the end a certain autonomy of the musicians.
With some representations to plan to concretize this work either during a Klezmer ball or in other circumstances.
