(Rennes, France) Every Wednesday from 20h30 to 22h. The rehearsals, in a warm atmosphere, are centered on the discovery and learning of songs in Yiddish, Judeo-Spanish and Hebrew.
Led by Lilian Duault
This amateur ensemble of about twenty people, women and men of all ages meets once a week.
The rehearsals also allow to learn the vocal technique to better understand the singing in chorus.
The accordion, the guitar or the clarinet sometimes mix their sounds with the voices, training them and punctuating them.
The choir performs at different events: music festival in Rennes, festival La Tête in the East, concerts at the inhabitant, annual festival of Jewish choirs in Paris ... (some examples: page Medias)
It intervenes alone or in partnership with other choirs, musical groups or associations on themes such as interculturality, intergenerational, Jewish holidays ...
Two professional musicians supervise the group: Lilian Duault (choir director) and Elsa Signorile (accompanist).
No prerequisite in solfeggio or singing is required.
