(Italy) The UCEI is the representative organisation of the 21 Jewish communities in Italy and its members, whose millennial presence in the country contributes to enrich their cultural and artistic heritage.
The archives section houses the historical archives of the Union of Italian Jewish Communities (1911-1950), the historical archives of the communities of Pitigliano (XVII-XX) and Senigallia (XVII-XX) and the valuable collection of ketubboth (marriage contracts) from the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries, mainly belonging to the communities of Senigallia and Ancona. Recently, thanks to a private donation, they added the Augusto Segre Fund and the Isacco Artom Fund. The Bibliographical Center Archives have been declared of great historical interest by the Archival Superintendency for Lazio.
