Gefilte Swing

(Klezmer-swing, Paris) Le Gefilte Swing c’est du swing, du jazz, du klezmer et des chansons yiddish, savamment dosés en un enivrant cocktail.

As if to keep one foot in the 20th century and its klezmer and jazz music, the Gefilte Swing was formed in December 1999. It brings together a singer and four instrumentalists: clarinet-saxophone, trombone, guitar and double bass. Then the group grew and many musicians came to bring their energy. The sound has also changed, from the gypsy to a spirit closer to klezmer orchestras and small swing formations of the thirties.
