"When I’m 40 years old, something happens. My husband says to me one evening," When you sing Judeo-Spanish, it makes me cry". Something awakens deep inside me. Somethinf far and luminous: my Judeo-Spanish roots and the music that flows from it. I feel that I can put my heritage in this music that exalts tender feelings that need to be expressed. My voice finds its light, its meaning and dares to be naked in a familiar repertoire to which I have great pleasure to connect. I search my family memory, ask my mother about her own childhood to better understand the context of these these Judeo-Spanish songs. I discover the personality of an extraordinary woman: my great grandmother Esther! ... "
