(Yiddish song, klezmer, France) This project, founded by Eléonore Biezunski in 2014, draws its repertoire from the drawers of the Yiddish folklore collections (Ruth Rubin, Moshe Beregovski, Zusman Kisselgof) ...

... and gives meaning to unknown or forgotten pearls, each one carrying its share of stories and history, experiences, struggles, hopes ...

The songs collected by the pioneering folklorist Ruth Rubin (1906-2000) portray a popular imaginary inhabited by rebellious young women, clandestine couples, deceived men, workers and artisans, thieves and revolutionaries. The "little people" of this world sing, rock, chant. It speaks to our time.
