Thadé Geisler (1913-1989), a Polish man with Jewish origins, a virtuoso violonist, spends his youth in the wealth of a bourgeois family from Warsaw. He travels through Europe with his parents who are artists, suffers the oppression of the occupation of Poland by the German army, survives to his detention in the Nazi camp of Saschenhausen and to the «Death March». Refugee in Belgium after the war, a stateless person sometimes close to deprivation, he found passion into the violin, the vital energy which allowed him to surmount the hardest events. In 1956, he met a young Belgian lady, got married with her and his life got more stable. Quickly, his discoveries in the making of string instruments would make him become famous and meet many famous violonists.
