The Jacques Kapota collection, deposited by his son-in-law Michel Castiel, comprises over 150 vinyl discs and CD’s.
The Kapota collection comprises many recordings of Jewish music, and the great artists of Israeli music or liturgical music, such as Yaffa Yarkoni, Shuly Nathan, Yossele Rosenblatt or Jan Peerce.
One can also find more uncommon documents, 33 RPM discs of Gypsy music (Yoska Nemeth) - or the humoristic song "La danse du Schmok" by French comedian Popeck.
These archives are now available for consultation through the catalog of our collections, or by taking an appointment at the European Institute for Jewish Music (contact@iemj.org)
