Concert – Exhibition at the Chapelle-en-Serval, tribute to Fernand Halphen

On the occasion of the exhibition on the centenary of the end of World War I

For the occasion of the exhibition on the centenary of the end of World War I, and to pay tribute to all the killed for France of La Chapelle-en-Serval and Orry-la-ville, in presence of Mister Daniel Dray, Mayor of La Chapelle-en-Serval, of Mister Henri and Miss Nadège Lefebvre President of the Conseil Départemental de l’Oise, the salle des Fêtes de La Chapelle-en-Serval will be renamed “Fernand Halphen hall”, in tribute to this composer that received the Rome award and builder of the Mont Royal castle, killed on duty for France.

A tribute will be given to the Captain Fernand Halphen of the 13th artillery regiment, author and composer of a symphony, hundreds of melodies, an opera « le Cor fleuri » and other works, killed for France the 16th May 1917.
The concert, around his works, will be held in presence of his family and many elected people such as Jérôme Bascher, Éric Woerth, Senator, Deputy of the Oise and Hervé Roten, Director of the European Institute for Jewish Music, representing his President Miss Laure Schnapper.
Concert conducted and led by Christophe Chauvet at the piano, accompanied by Elodie KIMMEL (soprano), Kledis REXHO (violin), and Martin BARRAL (cello).
