On February 12th 2018 at 7h00 pm, conference about the musical instruments in the Bible, by Hervé Roten, at the Institut Universitaire Elie Wiesel in Paris.

If the Bible repeatedly mentions the use of musical instruments in the worship or daily life of the Hebrews, the description of these instruments is often incomplete. Thus historians and musicologists agree that David’s famous harp is actually a lyre.

Of all the instruments quoted in the Bible, only today remains the shofar. What have the other instruments become? What did they look like?
Hervé Roten will try to summarize the current musicological knowledge in this field. Between myths and realities ...
