Olivier Tourny, musicologist and ethnomusicologist at the National Scientific Research Council, director of the French Research Center in Jerusalem, dedicated 20 years of his life to Ethiopian Jewish music.
He published in 2010 with Peeters Editions a remarkable book on “The Ethiopian Jewish liturgical singing. Musical analysis of an oral tradition”, in which he describes in a pedagogical way the amazing musical tradition of Ethiopian Jews.
