Support a project

The European Institute of Jewish Music is a public association as per the law of July 1st 1901, and survives only thanks to donations and subsidies. In order to accomplish its missions, the European Institute for Jewish Music must modernize itself, enrich its collections and propose incessantly new cultural projects. In order to preserve the diversity of its activities, the EIJM needs your help for:

  • Cultural projects: contribute in the organization of our cultural programme.
  • Acquisitions: take part in the enlargement of our databases, enriching our permanent collections who are a witness of the diversity within the Jewish musical heritage, created by Jewish artists and communities throughout centuries in France and elsewhere.
  • Digitization and cataloging: The saying goes that protection is knowing before anything else. The identification, cataloging and digitization of our patrimonial archives are the basis of what our volunteers do. The digitization is employed as a method towards both preservation and diffusion. The European Institute of Jewish Music has made it from now on possible to make this patrimony available to a large audience.
