{"id":54563,"date":"2018-12-19T11:11:36","date_gmt":"2018-12-19T10:11:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/la-hora-en-musique\/"},"modified":"2025-07-08T17:49:50","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T15:49:50","slug":"la-hora-en-musique","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/en\/la-hora-en-musique\/","title":{"rendered":"The hora in music"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Special Israeli hora<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Originally,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/en\/la-hora\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the hora<\/a>\u00a0(also known as &#8220;Romanian hora&#8221;, &#8220;zhok&#8221;, &#8220;londre&#8221;, &#8220;volakh&#8221; or &#8220;krimer&#8221;) is a slow dance often practiced in Romania (Moldova, Bessarabia, Bukovina) and in certain areas of Ukraine, by Jews and non-Jews.<\/p>\n<p>It consists of a circle, that can sometimes open up and go forward in a line. The dancers hold hands, take diagonal steps, forward or backward, and making a circle turn, normally clockwise.
