You can listen here to a selection of some of these songs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Chasidic songs, it\u2019s the melody, the main theme, which is most important, often accompanied with small onomatopoeias like \u201cdoy doy doy\u201d or \u201cya-ba-bam\u201d generally repeated many times. Body movements can also accompany the nigunim (lit. \u201cmelodies\u201d).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright  wp-image-11972\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/doc_2_hassidique_3.jpg\" alt=\"doc_2_hassidique_3.jpg\" width=\"159\" height=\"186\" align=\"right\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/doc_2_hassidique_3.jpg 359w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/doc_2_hassidique_3-256x300.jpg 256w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 159px) 100vw, 159px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to the Baal Chem Tov, it is not exclusively the study of the sacred texts that leads to get closer to G., we can also taste the divine essence by singing and dancing.<br \/>The nigunim are performed in an expressive vocal style. It\u2019s the kavanah (the intention) that is the most important, as testified in this hasidic saying: \u201csilence is better than speech, but singing is better than silence\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a
