{"id":63117,"date":"2013-09-13T18:39:23","date_gmt":"2013-09-13T16:39:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/balabosta\/"},"modified":"2025-10-20T16:29:48","modified_gmt":"2025-10-20T14:29:48","slug":"balabosta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/en\/balabosta\/","title":{"rendered":"Balabosta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2010 the clarinet player Alain Gourdeau and violinist Ma\u00ebva Tur created le&nbsp;<em>Tout petit klezmer<\/em>, an intimist band, who aims to make relive klezmer music an another way, but still respecting the roots of the past.<\/p>\n<p>To this first duet was added in 2012 the double bass player (Xuan Lindenmeyer) to form&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/balabosta.wordpress.com\/bio\/\"><em>Balabosta<\/em><\/a><em> trio<\/em>, which presents here their first recording&nbsp;<em>Gefilte Fishtre !<\/em>&nbsp;: a CD featuring 9 klezmer tunes, where can be heard the personality of each musician.<\/p>\n<p>In Yiddish, the Balabosta is the housekeeper, the women who cooks the gefilte fish for the family, who knits the thread of tradition and heritage.
