Eran belgas (Devaere), alemanes (Stephan, J\u00fcrgens), brit\u00e1nicos (Butterworth, Farrar), australianos (Kelly) o franceses (Debussy, Hahn, Halphen). En v\u00edsperas del conflicto, expresaron en sus melod\u00edas, con un impresionante sentido de la premonici\u00f3n, a la vez la nostalgia de un tiempo feliz pasado, la confrontaci\u00f3n con los temas eternos del olvido y la muerte, y la desolaci\u00f3n de sus vidas a punto de ser asoladas.
