L. Peretz, presenta una parte poco conocida del repertorio klezmer. Aunque, como explica el grupo en una entrevista, el renacimiento del klezmer en Estados Unidos se bas\u00f3 principalmente en el repertorio bessarabiano, la variedad de estilos que tocaban los jud\u00edos de Europa del Este no estaba representada. Esto es especialmente cierto en el caso del repertorio y el estilo de Polonia, que es mayoritariamente rural y para el que hay pocas fuentes disponibles, si es que hay alguna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El magn\u00edfico tr\u00edo Veretski Pass, formado por Cookie Segelstein (viol\u00edn), Joshua Horowitz (acorde\u00f3n, tsimbl) y Stuart Brotman (violonchelo bajo), se ha asociado con el clarinetista Joel Rubin. Han puesto su experiencia e investigaci\u00f3n al servicio de un disco sorprendente y original, en la misma l\u00ednea que el trabajo del grupo Litvakus sobre el repertorio klezmer de Lituania y Bielorrusia. Han grabado h\u00e1bilmente estas joyas de la m\u00fasica klezmer polaca, en directo y sin editar. Su repertorio combina danzas de sal\u00f3n cosmopolitas de ambientes urbanos, danzas m\u00e1s repetitivas y terrenales que tienden al trance, as\u00ed como danzas jas\u00eddicas y piezas de las colecciones de Kolberg (1814-1890), un sacerdote cat\u00f3lico que recopil\u00f3 y public\u00f3 melod\u00edas jud\u00edas entre sus 33 vol\u00famenes de m\u00fasica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las bellas ilustraciones y gr\u00e1ficos del \u00e1lbum son obra de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.poyln.com\/Poyln\/Artwork.html#grid\">Phil Blank<\/a>.
