Entre estos m\u00fasicos hab\u00eda dos familias jud\u00edas, los Bassano y los Lupo, que eran respectivamente \u00abmaestros de instrumentos de viento y de cuerda\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>El libro de Peter Holman cuenta la historia de la orquesta de la corte inglesa, desde sus inicios hasta la \u00e9poca de Purcell. Analiza con detalle la vida de los instrumentistas, el papel de la orquesta real en los siglos XVI y XVII y su influencia en la m\u00fasica de baile. El establecimiento de la orquesta real en Inglaterra se explica en el contexto del creciente uso del viol\u00edn en Europa en el siglo XVI.
