Entre ellos, numerosos compositores, como los austriacos Max Steiner (1888-1971) y Erich Wolfgang Korngold (1897-1957), el alem\u00e1n Franz Waxman (1908-1967), el h\u00fangaro Mikl\u00f3s R\u00f3zsa (1907-1995), el polaco Bronis\u0142av Kaper, el ruso Irving Berlin o el ucraniano Dimitri Tiomkin (1894-1979) \u2014se instalaron en la costa oeste y contribuyeron al auge del cine de Hollywood aportando su maestr\u00eda, fruto de la m\u00fasica posrom\u00e1ntica europea, que mezclaron con la cultura estadounidense y el jazz para crear una nueva m\u00fasica que se convertir\u00eda en emblem\u00e1tica de las grandes pel\u00edculas de Hollywood (<em>The Jazz Singer<\/em> (1927), <em>The Prince and the Pauper<\/em> (1937), <em>Gone With The Wind<\/em> (1939), <em>Jungle Book<\/em> (1942), <em>Summer Place<\/em> (1959), <em>Ben-Hur<\/em> (1959), etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El CD <em>Exile to Hollywood<\/em>, interpretado por la violinista <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/es\/isabelle-durin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Isabelle Durin<\/a> y el pianista Michael Ertzscheid, rinde homenaje a una m\u00fasica que es sin\u00f3nimo de libertad, mestizaje y resiliencia. Un viaje apasionante al coraz\u00f3n de la Edad de Oro (a\u00f1os 1930-1960), donde el exilio se convierte en fuente de creaci\u00f3n y esplendor.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"582\" height=\"594\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Photo-isabelle-durin-cd-musique-et-cinema-homepage.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-133308\" style=\"width:206px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Photo-isabelle-durin-cd-musique-et-cinema-homepage.jpg 582w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Photo-isabelle-durin-cd-musique-et-cinema-homepage-294x300.jpg 294w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 582px) 100vw, 582px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Herv\u00e9 Roten entrevist\u00f3 a Isabelle Durin con motivo del lanzamiento de esta nueva grabaci\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HR: Isabelle Durin, \u00bfc\u00f3mo se le ocurri\u00f3 la idea de grabar este disco dedicado a los compositores jud\u00edos de la Edad de Oro?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ID: En nuestros dos \u00e1lbumes anteriores (<em>M\u00e9moire et Cin\u00e9ma<\/em> y <em>Un violon dans l\u2019Histoire<\/em>), Micha\u00ebl Ertzscheid y yo exploramos el universo de las tradiciones jud\u00edas y las diferentes representaciones de la Segunda Guerra Mundial en el cine a trav\u00e9s de sus piezas musicales m\u00e1s emblem\u00e1ticas. Resulta que, para una propuesta de concierto en torno al jazz en el cine, hab\u00eda elaborado un programa con Bernstein, Mancini, Legrand y Hurwitz, y tambi\u00e9n me hab\u00eda fijado en dos temas que pod\u00edan sonar bien en el viol\u00edn, <em>Blue Skies<\/em> y <em>The Valley of the Dolls<\/em>, compuestos respectivamente por Irving Berlin y Andre Previn.&nbsp; Tras investigar un poco sobre sus historias personales, me di cuenta de que ten\u00edan un pasado en com\u00fan: ambos hab\u00edan abandonado sus respectivos pa\u00edses \u2014el Imperio ruso, en el caso de Irving Berlin, y Alemania, en el de Andr\u00e9 Previn\u2014 a causa de la persecuci\u00f3n contra los jud\u00edos. A partir de ah\u00ed, empec\u00e9 a investigar qui\u00e9nes eran los compositores de ese periodo (los a\u00f1os 1920-1930) que hab\u00edan abandonado Europa para refugiarse en Hollywood. Entre Irving Berlin, que marca el inicio de esta edad de oro, y Andre Previn, que, en cierto modo, la cierra, he descubierto o redescubierto a otros compositores, como Max Steiner, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Franz Waxman, Miklos Rozsa, Dimitri Tiomkin\u2026 He escuchado sus bandas sonoras, a cu\u00e1l m\u00e1s sublime; me he sumergido en ese universo donde la melod\u00eda es la reina e imaginaba todos esos sonidos resonando en el viol\u00edn y el piano. Tras este largo trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n, me decid\u00ed por 15 temas y empec\u00e9 a elaborar sus arreglos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Primer paso: \u00a1un papel y un l\u00e1piz cuando no se encontraba la partitura orquestal! \u00a1Horas y horas, con los auriculares pegados a los o\u00eddos, transcribiendo las diferentes voces y reestructur\u00e1ndolas para viol\u00edn y piano! Una vez que terminaba de anotar la parte de viol\u00edn, se la enviaba a Micha\u00ebl para que escribiera o arreglara su parte. A veces encontr\u00e1bamos en Internet partituras en l\u00ednea o reducciones para piano que nos ayudaban en este delicado trabajo, en el que se trata m\u00e1s de transcripci\u00f3n que de arreglo, ya que nuestro objetivo era conservar la integridad de la partitura original, nota por nota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ha sido un trabajo agotador, pero nos ha permitido sumergirnos por completo en el estilo, las formas de interpretaci\u00f3n, los matices y las frases musicales de estas bandas sonoras, \u00a1que son realmente magn\u00edficas!<\/p>\n\n\n<div
