Esta pieza, de una duraci\u00f3n de alrededor de 10 minutos, ha sido presentada por la primera vez el 10 de abril de 1952 por el pianista \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rene-gagnaux-1.ch\/p_repertoire\/pelleg_courte_biographie.html\">Frank Pelleg (1910-1968)<\/a> durante el festival de Ein Gev (Israel). Darius Milhaud proviene de una familia jud\u00eda del Condado Venaissin. Nunca ha renegado de sus ra\u00edces. El lenguaje musical queda el habitualmente utilizado por el compositor.
