Una de sus canciones m\u00e1s conocidas es \u00abBab-el-Oued\u00bb (1948), consagrada a los soldados israel\u00edes muertos durante la guerra de independencia.<\/p>\n<p>Yaffa Yarkoni es la hija mayor de los tres hijos de Avraham Abramov y de Malka Alkhassov. Sus padres eran Jud\u00edos del C\u00e1ucaso que hab\u00edan inmigrado en Palestina al inicio del siglo XX.<\/p>\n<p>Pasa su infancia en Tel Aviv y en Givat Rambam (el barrio actual de Guivatayim) y empieza su carrera art\u00edstica en un caf\u00e9 de barrio del nombre de \u00abTzlil\u00bb (\u00abHijo\u00bb), produci\u00e9ndose con su hermana Tikva y su hermano Binyamin en un terceto popular llamado \u00abBamati\u00bb (\u00abMi escena\u00bb).<\/p>\n<p>Sobre las recomendaciones del cantor Shmuel Fischer, Yaffa entra en la troupe de ballet de Gertrud Kraus, una de las pioneras del baile en Israel, y baila ah\u00ed durante una decena de a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-26835 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/doc_1_yarkoni.jpg\" alt=\"doc_1_yarkoni.jpg\" width=\"287\" height=\"291\" align=\"middle\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/doc_1_yarkoni.jpg 493w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/doc_1_yarkoni-296x300.jpg 296w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/doc_1_yarkoni-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 287px) 100vw, 287px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El 21 de septiembre de 1944, se cas\u00f3 con Yossef Gustin, quien se fue en guerra el d\u00eda despu\u00e9s de la boda como voluntario de la brigada jud\u00eda, una unidad del 8o ej\u00e9rcito brit\u00e1nico. Gustin muri\u00f3 el 29 de marzo de 1945 durante combates contra los alemanes en el rio de Senio, en Italia. La canci\u00f3n <em>Ouri<\/em>, letra de Rafael Klatchkin y m\u00fasica de Issakhar Meron, ha sida creada en su memoria.<\/p>\n<p>En 1948, Yaffa se cas\u00f3 con Shaike Yarkoni (falleci\u00f3 en 1983), comandante en la Hagan\u00e1, y uno de los fundadores de las fuerzas blindadas israel\u00ed. Juntos, van a tener tres hijas.<\/p>\n<p>Y luego, se uni\u00f3 a la troupe musical \u00abKhichtron\u00bb de Tsahal afiliada a la brigada Givati.\u00a0<em>Bab el-Wad<\/em>, una canci\u00f3n que interpretaba durante esta \u00e9poca, ha vuelto un cl\u00e1sico, cantado cada a\u00f1o el D\u00eda del Recuerdo (Yom ha-zikaron). Tambi\u00e9n ha interpretado algunas de las primeras canciones para ni\u00f1os de <strong>Naomi Shemer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-26837 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/doc_2_yarkoni.jpg\" alt=\"doc_2_yarkoni.jpg\" width=\"302\" height=\"316\" align=\"middle\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/doc_2_yarkoni.jpg 478w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/doc_2_yarkoni-287x300.jpg 287w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 302px) 100vw, 302px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Durante una tregua durante la guerra de independencia, Yarokoni ha grabado un primer disco en el estudio <strong>Radio Doctor<\/strong>, que recibi\u00f3 un muy bueno acogido publico, en particular el \u00e9xito rumano <em>Eynayim yeroukot<\/em>\u00a0que es considerado hoy como la primera canci\u00f3n pop en Israel. Despu\u00e9s, la cantante firma un contrato con la nueva compa\u00f1\u00eda de discos <strong>Hed Artzi\u00a0<\/strong>que va salir todos sus \u00e1lbumes.<\/p>\n<p>El \u00e1lbum <em>Bab el Wad<\/em>\u00a0contiene canciones de la Guerra de Independencia, como <em>Haamini yom yavo<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Rabota\u00ef Hahistoria khozeret<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Hafindjan<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Khen efschar<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Doudou<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Yatzanu at\u00a0<\/em>que el publico identificara como composiciones de Yaffa Yarkoni, aunque muchos de entre estas hayan sidas interpretadas antes por la troupe \u00abTchizbatron\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Durante los a\u00f1os 1950-1960, Yaffa Yarkoni se volvi\u00f3 la cantante numero 1 en Israel, con especialmente una serie de canciones, emitidas en la radio, que magnifican el Estado de Israel (<em>Baarvot Hanegev<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Hasavta baNegev<\/em>\u00a0(letras: Avchalom Cohen, 1948)).<\/p>\n<p>Tuvo su mayor \u00e9xito en 1951 con canciones de sal\u00f3n, valses o de tangos, que acompa\u00f1aron los bailes en los caf\u00e9s de la \u00e9poca.<br \/>\nEn 1959 sale el \u00e1lbum <em>Nirkoda im Yaffa Yarkoni<\/em>, que re\u00fane sus canciones, entre los cuales <em>Habibi<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Artzenu haktantonet<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Skharkhoret<\/em>. A menudo la prensa amarilla le atribuye una rivalidad imaginara con la otra grand cantante del momento, <strong>Shoshana Damari<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-26839 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/doc_3_yarkoni.jpg\" alt=\"doc_3_yarkoni.jpg\" width=\"275\" height=\"288\" align=\"middle\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/doc_3_yarkoni.jpg 478w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/doc_3_yarkoni-287x300.jpg 287w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 275px) 100vw, 275px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Siempre en los a\u00f1os cincuenta, ha grabado algunos de los \u00e1lbumes para los ninos, cuyo dos gozan de un \u00e9xito particular:\u00a0<em>Chirey yeladim kevakachatkha<\/em>, que contiene las canciones <em>Agala im soussa<\/em>\u00a0(grabada ya en 1948) y <em>Doubon Yambo<\/em>\u00a0o\u00a0<em>Youmbo <\/em>escrita por Yekhiel Mohar, as\u00ed que el \u00e1lbum <em>Chirim miKineret<\/em>\u00a0(1957) con canciones de Naomi Shemer, compositora y poeta de Kvoutzat Kinneret (un kibboutz en Galilea), quien era entonces a sus inicios en la m\u00fasica.<br \/>\nYaffa Yarkoni grab\u00f3 despu\u00e9s de nuevo un disco para los ni\u00f1os incluyendo el \u00e9xito <em>Abba cheli<\/em>\u00a0sobre letras de Talma Eligon.<\/p>\n<p>Falleci\u00f3 el 1o de enero de 2012, en el hospital\u00a0 Re\u2019out de Tel Aviv, por culpa de la enfermedad de Alzheimer cuyos los primeros s\u00edntomas aparecieron en 2001 y aumentaron en 2008.
