{"id":71945,"date":"2020-04-26T12:53:30","date_gmt":"2020-04-26T10:53:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/gerineldo\/"},"modified":"2025-08-19T17:06:27","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T15:06:27","slug":"gerineldo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/es\/gerineldo\/","title":{"rendered":"Gerineldo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El Conjunto Vocal e Instrumental <strong><em>Gerineldo<\/em> <\/strong>fue fundado en Canad\u00e1 en 1981 por <strong>Oro Anahory-Librowicz<\/strong>, natural de Tetu\u00e1n y doctora en Estudios Hisp\u00e1nicos por la prestigiosa Universidad de Columbia de Nueva York, especialista en tradiciones musicales judeoespa\u00f1olas sefard\u00edes, con el objetivo de preservar y difundir la tradici\u00f3n musical judeoespa\u00f1ola de Marruecos, interpretando las canciones y romances que han conservado los Jud\u00edos del norte de Marruecos desde su expulsi\u00f3n de Espa\u00f1a en 1492. Recientemente ha legado a la Biblioteca Nacional de Israel las grabaciones y los textos explicativos de cientos de canciones sefard\u00edes en judeoespa\u00f1ol que ha ido recopilando desde principios de los a\u00f1os 80 en comunidades sefard\u00edes establecidas en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n<p><em><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-28313\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/couv_de_fiestas_y_alegrias_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg\" alt=\"couv_de_fiestas_y_alegrias_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg\" width=\"238\" height=\"240\" align=\"right\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/couv_de_fiestas_y_alegrias_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg 238w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/couv_de_fiestas_y_alegrias_redim_240_px_vertic-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/couv_de_fiestas_y_alegrias_redim_240_px_vertic-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 238px) 100vw, 238px\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Gerineldo<\/em> es el nombre de un popular romance sefard\u00ed de la Edad Media sobre el ins\u00f3lito periplo de un joven enamorado y malogrado por la vida.<\/p>\n<p>Dirigido por <strong>Oro Anahory-Librowicz<\/strong>, y su fiel compa\u00f1era desde el principio, <strong>Solly L\u00e9vy<\/strong>, al grupo se unieron m\u00e1s tarde <strong>Judith Cohen<\/strong>, asquenaz\u00ed de Montreal, doctora en etnomusicolog\u00eda por la Universidad de Montreal, gran especialista en m\u00fasica tradicional judeoespa\u00f1ola de Oriente y Marruecos, y hoy profesora de la Universidad de York en Toronto, y <strong>Kelly Amar<\/strong>, una de las mejores solistas del coro Kinor del Centro Comunitario Jud\u00edo de Montreal..<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft  wp-image-28315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/couv_el_medio_de_quel_camino_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg\" alt=\"couv_el_medio_de_quel_camino_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg\" width=\"220\" height=\"224\" align=\"left\" \/><\/p>\n<p>De 1981 a 1994, el grupo <em>Gerineldo<\/em> dio numerosos recitales en Montreal, en el marco de la Quincena Sefard\u00ed, en otras ciudades canadienses as\u00ed como en Israel, Espa\u00f1a, Estados Unidos, Venezuela&#8230; Giras musicales que fueron un gran \u00e9xito..<\/p>\n<p>En 1994, por solidaridad con Kelly Amar, que acababa de perder a su marido y ya no ten\u00eda \u00e1nimos para cantar en el escenario, <em>Gerineldo<\/em> dej\u00f3 de actuar repentinamente y todos los miembros decidieron poner fin a las actividades art\u00edsticas del grupo..<\/p>\n<p>Tras 20 a\u00f1os de eclipse, en la primavera de 2014, Gerineldo hizo un regreso muy visible con un primer espect\u00e1culo de reencuentro en Par\u00eds en marzo de 2014, en el marco de las <em>Jornadas del juda\u00edsmo marroqu\u00ed<\/em>, bajo el alto patrocinio de Su Majestad Mohamed VI, Rey de Marruecos. Le seguir\u00e1n otros espect\u00e1culos aclamados por el p\u00fablico, organizados por la asociaci\u00f3n <img decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-28317\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/couv_me_vaya_kappara_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg\" alt=\"couv_me_vaya_kappara_redim_240_px_vertic.jpg\" width=\"234\" height=\"240\" align=\"right\" \/>hispano-jud\u00eda Aki Estamos de Par\u00eds, la Alianza Francesa de Toronto&#8230; Al grupo se unen entonces las voces vibrantes y luminosas de dos j\u00f3venes cantantes muy talentosos: <strong>Tamar Ilana<\/strong>, hija de Judith Cohen y <strong>Matan Boker<\/strong>, de 21 a\u00f1os, nieto de Solly Levy, que ayud\u00f3 a dar nueva vida a este conjunto musical enteramente dedicado a la perpetuaci\u00f3n de la maravillosa herencia musical judeo-espa\u00f1ola marroqu\u00ed. En 2015, con motivo del <em>Festival S\u00e9farad de Montreal<\/em>, <strong>Demetrios Petsalakis<\/strong>, virtuoso del la\u00fad \u00e1rabe, se uni\u00f3 a <em>Gerineldo<\/em> en el escenario.<\/p>\n<p>Solly L\u00e9vy lamentablemente falleci\u00f3 el 10 de abril de 2020 tras una larga enfermedad.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/es\/levy-solly-1939-2020\/\"
