Pas\u00f3 toda su infancia en los barrios populares que conocen una actividad art\u00edstica fuerte. Se sinti\u00f3 atra\u00eddo por la m\u00fasica y la canci\u00f3n desde muy joven, con predilecci\u00f3n por el ritmo, la percusi\u00f3n y la interpretaci\u00f3n de la darbouka.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Cuando se proyect\u00f3 en T\u00fanez la pel\u00edcula egipcia <em>Rabha<\/em>, la canci\u00f3n <em>Fadlak Ya Sayeg El Matar<\/em>, interpretada por el cantante egipcio <strong>Mohamed El Kahlaoui<\/strong>, conoci\u00f3 un gran \u00e9xito. El joven Elie, entusiasmado, la aprende y la canta en diferentes ocasiones. A continuaci\u00f3n, unos amigos le animaron a aparecer en la radio tunecina. Elie interpret\u00f3 \u00edntegramente <em>Fadlak Ya Sayeg El Matar<\/em> y fue muy alentado por Abdelaziz Laroui, presentador del programa <em>Le Coin des Amateurs<\/em>, que le sugiere que a partir de ese d\u00eda sea conocido como \u201cEl Kahlaoui Tounsi\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 11.25pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #171717;\"><em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-74624  alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/K7_1706_COUV-e1639411327809-edited.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"186\" height=\"308\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/K7_1706_COUV-e1639411327809-edited.jpg 211w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/K7_1706_COUV-e1639411327809-edited-181x300.jpg 181w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 186px) 100vw, 186px\" \/><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Por ello, El Kahlaoui Tounsi empez\u00f3 a cantar y actu\u00f3 con las conocidas compa\u00f1\u00edas de la \u00e9poca, como <strong>Kakino De Paz<\/strong>, <strong>Cheikh El Asram<\/strong> y muchas otras. Se hizo famoso y se gan\u00f3 el apoyo del p\u00fablico. Sus inicios en la canci\u00f3n oriental, adem\u00e1s de la tunecina, le permitieron acumular un amplio repertorio. Durante sus giras por el extranjero, destac\u00f3 la canci\u00f3n tradicional y popular tunecina.<\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white; box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0cm 0cm 11.25pt 0cm;\">A finales de 1948, se march\u00f3 a Par\u00eds para trabajar como percusionista con las Peters Sisters en el Folies Berg\u00e8re, e empez\u00f3 as\u00ed su primera aventura musical en Francia. En 1949 regres\u00f3 a T\u00fanez, donde mezcl\u00f3 la m\u00fasica oriental con la m\u00fasica de moda en ese momento: el jazz. Para perfeccionar su conocimiento del ritmo, viaj\u00f3 por todo el norte de \u00c1frica, desde Argelia hasta Libia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white; box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0cm 0cm 11.25pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #171717;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-74602  alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/D45-17_74_COUV-e1643715058324.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" \/><\/span><span lang=\"ES\">De vuelta a Par\u00eds, a finales de 1951, El Kahlaoui Tounsi fue contratado en el cabaret El Djaza\u00efr, en el Barrio Latino. All\u00ed permaneci\u00f3 dos a\u00f1os, siendo cantante y percusionista. Particip\u00f3 en numerosas grabaciones en la radio francesa con varios grupos argelinos, cabile\u00f1os, marroqu\u00edes, tunecinos y franceses. Tambi\u00e9n grab\u00f3 una multitud de canciones en diferentes sellos: Path\u00e9 Marconi, Philips, Teppaz, Barclay y Dounia, que comprar\u00e1 en 1960.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 11.25pt 0cm;\">En 1953, se incorpor\u00f3 a Radio Diffusion Tunisienne como baterista-percusionista de la Orquesta Filarm\u00f3nica. Continu\u00f3 sus viajes por Jap\u00f3n, Australia, \u00c1frica subsahariana, Argelia, Marruecos y todos los pa\u00edses europeos, iniciando y difundiendo el canto y el arte tunecino, el del \u201cAroubi\u201d en particular, una especie de encantamiento premusical que hunde sus ra\u00edces en la tradici\u00f3n andalus\u00ed transmitida a lo largo de los siglos por los narradores sefard\u00edes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>El Kahlaoui Tounsi compuso para varios artistas tunecinos, marroqu\u00edes y libaneses\u2026 En particular, dio una oportunidad a una joven cantante argelina que m\u00e1s tarde se convertir\u00eda en una estrella bajo el nombre de Warda.<\/p>\n<p>Fundador de una gran orquesta, Kahlaoui recib\u00eda regularmente a la mayor\u00eda de las estrellas del mundo \u00e1rabe que deseaban actuar en Francia: el liban\u00e9s Wadieh El Safi, el egipcio Ahmed Adaouia, el sirio Sabah Fahkri o el tunecino Ahmed Hamza.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #171717;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-74577 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/D33-30_1027_COUV-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"213\" height=\"213\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/D33-30_1027_COUV-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/D33-30_1027_COUV-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/D33-30_1027_COUV-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 213px) 100vw, 213px\" \/><\/span>Acompa\u00f1\u00f3 a su amigo Enrico Mac\u00edas en el escenario del Olympia y contrat\u00f3 a la mayor\u00eda de los artistas jud\u00edos y \u00e1rabes en su sello Dounia, como Raoul Journo, Line Monty, Ren\u00e9 Perez, Reinette l\u2019Oranaise, Blond Blond\u2026 y el famoso Farid El Atrache, con el que entabl\u00f3 una gran amistad.<\/p>\n<p>Autor y compositor de \u00e9xito (500 canciones en su repertorio general, 230 de ellas escritas por \u00e9l y 150 compuestas y arregladas por \u00e9l), El Kahlaoui Tounsi era tambi\u00e9n un astuto hombre de negocios. Ya propietario de un label y una compa\u00f1\u00eda discogr\u00e1fica, compr\u00f3 una primera sala de conciertos en 1975, el Palais Berg\u00e8re, y luego una segunda en 1976, Le Bataclan.
