Estos archivos incluyen principalmente partituras representativas de las tradiciones de las cinco sinagogas hist\u00f3ricas de Roma (<em>Cinque Scole<\/em>): dos sinagogas estaban destinadas a los inmigrantes provenientes de Espa\u00f1a en 1492 (<em>Scola Catalana<\/em> et <em>Scola Castigliana<\/em>), una a los que ven\u00edan de Sicilia (<em>Scola Siciliana<\/em>), y dos m\u00e1s destinadas a los Jud\u00edos ya instalados en Roma en el momento de estas migraciones y antes de la creaci\u00f3n del Gueto en 1555 (<em>Scola Tempio<\/em> et <em>Scola Nova<\/em>). Tambi\u00e9n encontramos en los archivos de la comunidad jud\u00eda de Roma partituras manuscritas compuestas por m\u00fasicos jud\u00edos y no-jud\u00edos desde el 27 de julio de 1904, fecha de inauguraci\u00f3n de la Gran Sinagoga de Roma (<em>Tempio Maggiore<\/em>). Estos manuscritos musicales cuentan la identidad religiosa, hist\u00f3rica y cultural de los Jud\u00edos romanos. Este libro va acompa\u00f1ado de un CD ROM que contiene una muestra representativa de estos cantos lit\u00fargicos interpretados por el Coro del <em>Tempio Maggiore<\/em> de Roma, dirigido por Claudio Di Segni, con la participaci\u00f3n del cantor rav Avraham Alberto Funaro y de Angelo Spizzichino, organista de la Sinagoga. Los cantos se presentan en el texto original en hebreo, traducidos y \u00abacompa\u00f1ados\u00bb por comentarios b\u00edblicos, lit\u00fargicos y musicales.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n podemos encontrar la transcripci\u00f3n de entrevistas con el rav Funaro, el Maestro Di Segni y el Maestro Spizzichino, que nos permiten entender mejor el cargo del hazan, del director de coro y del organista durante las oraciones diarias, las oraciones festivas y de los acontecimientos que dejan huellas en la historia de la comunidad jud\u00eda romana.<\/p>\n<p>El segundo volumen completa los temas del primero. Presenta por primera vez las biograf\u00edas y composiciones de los directores del Coro del Tempio Maggiore (a partir de 1904, a\u00f1o de su consagraci\u00f3n e inauguraci\u00f3n), as\u00ed como los de la Cinque Scola. Tambi\u00e9n hay un \u00edndice de los cantos m\u00e1s interpretados, con el contexto en el que se interpretaron en el ciclo del a\u00f1o lit\u00fargico. Tambi\u00e9n se incluyen grabaciones \u00abhist\u00f3ricas\u00bb y contempor\u00e1neas, fotograf\u00edas del coro y de algunos actos y conciertos en los que particip\u00f3, una presentaci\u00f3n del \u00f3rgano del Templo y un primer estudio sobre la presencia o ausencia de \u00f3rganos o armonios en las principales sinagogas italianas. El libro va acompa\u00f1ado de una amplia bibliograf\u00eda y de un \u00abatlas\u00bb de m\u00e1s de cuatrocientos t\u00e9rminos lit\u00fargicos, b\u00edblicos, musicales, rituales y culturales que nos ayudar\u00e1n a comprender y apreciar el patrimonio del canto lit\u00fargico jud\u00edo, en particular en Roma.
