Un antepasado del que no sabemos nada, excepto el nombre y lugar de nacimiento. Imagine que\u00a0 oye esta voz en una grabaci\u00f3n, la sonrisa en su voz, la potencia, y quiz\u00e1s tambi\u00e9n tristeza. Una imagen se forma, la de una vida olvidada desde hace mucho tiempo. Este proyecto musical empieza con fragmentos sonoros de una cultura que casi fue totalmente erradicada.<\/p>\n<p><em>OVES \u2013 Resonance of the Past<\/em> quiere formar un puente entre el pasado y el presente. Ese v\u00ednculo entre los antepasados y descendientes es la m\u00fasica.<\/p>\n<p>Con la ayuda de la genealogista Ayana Kimron, el conjunto WAKS, encontr\u00f3 a cuatro descendientes de cantantes cuayas voces fueron grabadas en rollos de cera entre 1928 y 1941 por los etnomusic\u00f3logos Sofia Magid y Moshe Beregovsky. Estos cantantes de principios del siglo se llamaban Basya Fayler, Shmuel Bronshvayg, Nokhem Shternheim o tambi\u00e9n Rakhmiel y Helena Grin. Sus descendientes dieron testimonio de sus historias de vida, y este CD es prueba de ello.<\/p>\n<p>Compuesto por <strong>Inge Mandos<\/strong> a la voz, <strong>Klemens Kaatz<\/strong> al piano y al acorde\u00f3n, y <strong>Hans-Christian Jaenicke<\/strong> al viol\u00edn, le tr\u00edo WAKS juega con la m\u00fasica, pasando de una grabaci\u00f3n en rollo de cera a\u00a0 un nuevo arreglo en estudio.
