Lo studio delle politiche attuate sotto il Terzo Reich mostra come la nozione di purezza ha condizionato la creazione e la vita musicale, dall&#8217;arianizzazione di compositori della grande tradizione come Wagner e Beethoven alla ricerca di un&#8217;impossibile musica &#8220;nazista&#8221;. Un esame delle lotte di potere tra i principali attori culturali del Reich, principalmente il ministro della Propaganda Joseph Goebbels e l&#8217;ideologo del partito nazista Alfred Rosenberg, mette in luce le estreme incongruenze di un sistema che coni\u00f2 il concetto di &#8220;musica degenerata&#8221; senza vietarla del tutto.<\/p>\n<p>Dopo la guerra, la creazione musicale \u00e8 stata alimentata dai conflitti tra gli Alleati, mentre si profilava la guerra fredda. La lotta per l&#8217;influenza e gli inizi della nostra societ\u00e0 della comunicazione crearono un nuovo contesto che port\u00f2 alla creazione della Scuola di Darmstadt e di festival di musica contemporanea, nonch\u00e9 alla sorprendente reintegrazione di musicisti che erano stati compromessi dal regime nazista.<\/p>\n<p>Studiando i regimi che in ultima analisi sono costruiti sulla reciproca opposizione, Elise Petit fa luce sul desiderio o sull&#8217;utopia di una rottura in relazione alle politiche musicali.
