Questa usanza si basa sui\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Thirteen_Attributes_of_Mercy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tredici attributi della misericordia<\/a>\u00a0che, secondo la tradizione, sarebbero stati trasmessi da Dio a Mos\u00e8 (Esodo 34, 6-7).<\/p>\n<p>In origine, le\u00a0<em>selihot<\/em>\u00a0venivano lette durante Yom Kippur ed i digiuni. Questa usanza si estese in seguito ai 10 giorni (<em>yamim nora\u00efm<\/em>) tra Rosh Hashanah e Kippur. Le comunit\u00e0 Ashkenazite e Hassidiche recitano le\u00a0<em>selihot<\/em>\u00a0dal sabato sera che precede (di almeno quattro giorni) la festa di Rosh Hashanah. Le comunit\u00e0 sefardite le leggono all\u2019alba prima delle preghiere mattutine per quaranta giorni, a partire dal 1\u00b0 di Elul.<\/p>\n<p>La seguente playlist presenta una selezione di <em>selihot<\/em> dei diversi riti marocchini (Casablanca, Mekn\u00e8s, Marrakech\u2026). La prima di queste <em>selihot<\/em>, &#8220;An\u00e9nou&#8221; (Rispondimi), eseguita dallo hazzan israeliano Avraham Toledano \u00e8 cantata su di un&#8217;aria tipica della citt\u00e0 di Mekn\u00e8s. Riconosciamo il rito Meknassi da un sapiente mix di toni andalusi e ritmi spezzati del folclore berbero delle montagne che circondano la citt\u00e0 di Mekn\u00e8s.<\/p>\n<p>La <em>sesta seliha<\/em>, &#8220;Hatanou Lefaneikha&#8221;, eseguita da Lior Elmaliah, segue un&#8217;aria della citt\u00e0 di Marrakech. La settima <em>seliha<\/em>, &#8220;Elekha Hachem&#8221;, eseguita dal cantore di fama mondiale Haim Louk, adotta un&#8217;aria di Casablanca, la citt\u00e0 bianca.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a
