La sua originalit\u00e0 risiede nella combinazione di tre caratteristiche principali, ovvero il repertorio dei brani, l&#8217;interpretazione musicale e l&#8217;importanza data alla documentazione relativa a questi brani. \u00c8 un vero gioiello per gli amanti della musica tradizionale, per tutti coloro che, nostalgici di questa cultura e di questo periodo, si interessano da vicino a questo repertorio relativamente sconosciuto ma ricchissimo di storie e ricordi.<\/p>\n<p>La cantante-ricercatrice israeliana nel giudeo-spagnolo <strong>Hadass Pal-Yarden<\/strong>, in questo album, ha tratto ispirazione sia dagli informatori sefarditi incontrati sul posto, a seguito delle sue varie peregrinazioni compiute sulle terre dell&#8217;ex-impero ottomano (Salonicco, Gerusalemme, Istanbul, Izmir &#8230;) sia dagli archivi delle registrazioni sul vivo a cui ha avuto accesso.<\/p>\n<p>Il libretto del CD riccamente documentato fornisce, oltre alla fonte documentaria di ogni titolo proposto, approfondimenti storici, linguistici e geografici sugli ebrei spagnoli noti come sefarditi. Ci informa anche sul contesto pi\u00f9 attuale di esecuzione della musica giudeo-spagnola, che non ha smesso di evolversi dal XX secolo, perdendo gradualmente la sua funzione iniziale inscritta nei rituali tradizionali del ciclo della vita all&#8217;interno della comunit\u00e0, per trasformarsi gradualmente in musica pi\u00f9 commerciale, coinvolgendo pi\u00f9 scambi con i paesi d&#8217;origine
