{"id":71525,"date":"2019-05-23T15:42:48","date_gmt":"2019-05-23T13:42:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/la-musique-des-juifs-dethiopie-les-beta-israel\/"},"modified":"2025-10-06T12:59:58","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T10:59:58","slug":"la-musique-des-juifs-dethiopie-les-beta-israel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/it\/la-musique-des-juifs-dethiopie-les-beta-israel\/","title":{"rendered":"La musica degli ebrei etiopi, i Beta Israel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Un&#8217;analisi storica, liturgica e musicologica della musica dei Beta Israel, ispirata dai lavori di Simha Arom, Frank Alvarez-Pereyre, Shoshana Ben-Dor e Olivier Tourny<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;immigrazione illegale degli ebrei dall&#8217;Etiopia in Israele inizia nei primi anni &#8217;80. Questi ebrei, impropriamente chiamati <em>Falasha<\/em> (termine peggiorativo che significa \u201csenza radici\u201d o \u201cesuli\u201d), fuggono, come molti loro connazionali, dalla guerra civile e dalla carestia rifugiandosi in Sudan. Nel 1984, l&#8217;Operazione Mos\u00e9, organizzata dallo Stato israeliano, permette di accogliere 7.000 ebrei etiopi provenienti dai campi di transito sudanesi; poco dopo, l&#8217;Operazione Saba (1985) ne rimpatria 648; finalmente nel 1991, l&#8217;operazione Salomon riesce la folle impresa di effettuare un ponte aereo per trasportare 14.300 persone nell&#8217;arco di 24 ore.<\/p>\n<p>Gli ultimi <em>Beta Israel<\/em> rimasti in Etiopia emigrano in Israele tra il 1991 e il 1994. Ma dal 1992 inizia un&#8217;immigrazione irregolare, soggetta agli sviluppi politici in Israele, quella dei <em>Falash Mura.<\/em> Tra quell&#8217;anno e il 2013, pi\u00f9 di 35.000 <em>Falash Mura<\/em> arrivano in Israele. Ufficialmente non ebrei, una volta in Israele devono intraprendere una completa conversione all&#8217;ebraismo ortodosso prima di ricevere la piena cittadinanza.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright  wp-image-10855\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/doc_2_ethiopie500px50-2.jpg\" alt=\"doc_2_ethiopie500px50-2.jpg\" width=\"235\" height=\"353\" align=\"right\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/doc_2_ethiopie500px50-2.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/doc_2_ethiopie500px50-2-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 235px) 100vw, 235px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;integrazione nello Stato ebraico degli Ebrei etiopi non si \u00e8 fatta senza difficolt\u00e0. Poveri, spesso analfabeti e vivendo di mestieri artigianali, devono affrontare una societ\u00e0 moderna e high-tech. Inoltre, su pressione delle autorit\u00e0 religiose israeliane, sono costretti ad abbandonare le loro pratiche rituali ancestrali per entrare nei ranghi dell&#8217;ebraismo normalizzato. Il Gran Rabbinato tenta perfino di imporre loro una conversione simbolica (immersione rituale e, per gli uomini, &#8220;ricirconcisione&#8221; mediante lo spargimento di una goccia di sangue) che \u00e8 boicottata dalla maggior parte di loro. Sebbene oggi siano riconosciuti come ebrei a tutti gli effetti, la situazione religiosa dei <em>Beta Israel<\/em> rimane complessa. I loro sacerdoti, chiamati <em>qessotch,<\/em> sono stati spogliati di ogni autorit\u00e0 religiosa e spirituale\u2026 con la graduale ma inevitabile scomparsa, come conseguenza, del loro rito.<\/p>\n<p>La comunit\u00e0 etiope che viveva in Israele nel 2014 era composta da 138.200 persone circa. Quasi 30.000 bambini sono nati nello Stato ebraico e seguono il curriculum educativo israeliano. Parlano ebraico e usano sempre meno la lingua dei loro antenati. I canti liturgici sono diretti da un sacerdote, un vero solista, al quale risponde il coro degli altri sacerdoti. Il solista &#8211; tradizionalmente la massima autorit\u00e0 religiosa dell&#8217;assemblea &#8211; intona la preghiera; gli altri gli rispondono unendo le loro voci. (&#8230;) L&#8217;intervento del coro genera una polifonia \u201carcaica\u201d che nasce dall&#8217;incontro di pi\u00f9 voci che mirano a realizzare un&#8217;unica linea melodica. (\u2026)<\/p>\n<p>I canti possono assumere forme diverse. Le forme antifonali e responsoriali sono usate frequentemente. In un canto di tipo antifonale, il coro riprende sistematicamente la presentazione musicale del solista. In un canto responsoriale, il coro utilizza parte del materiale melodico del solista per pronunciare brevi risposte come &#8220;Amen&#8221; o &#8220;Alleluia&#8221;. Vi \u00e8 anche una terza forma di canto che Simha Arom e Olivier Tourny qualificano di &#8220;tipo emiolico&#8221;. Le preghiere di questa categoria sono caratterizzate da una distribuzione ternaria del testo e della musica mentre rimane l&#8217;alternanza binaria \u201csolista-coro\u201d. A seconda delle circostanze, lo stesso canto pu\u00f2 essere di tipo emiolico, antifonale o responsoriale. \u00c8 il solista che, cantando per primo il brano, decide di utilizzare la configurazione che preferisce. Nel caso di eventi solenni, i sacerdoti usano pi\u00f9 volontieri il canto emiolico. Quando vi \u00e8 poco tempo, di solito ricorrono ad una forma di tipo responsoriale che permette di accelerare il flusso del testo alternando dei versi diversi ad ogni volta. Al contrario, quando accolgono un&#8217;importante personalit\u00e0 religiosa, i sacerdoti onorano il loro ospite ripetendo rigorosamente le espressioni testuali e musicali in forma antifonale.<\/p>\n<p>A volte il canto \u00e8 accompagnato da un tamburo a semplice membrana (<em>nagarit<\/em>) o da un piccolo gong metallico (<em>metke<\/em>). Tuttavia, il ruolo di questi strumenti rimane secondario a causa del divieto del loro utilizzo durante alcune grandi festivit\u00e0 del calendario. (\u2026)<\/p>\n<p>La maggior parte dei canti non hanno una struttura metrica regolare. Sono regolati dalla prosodia della lingua. Solo alcune preghiere, associate alla danza, sono veramente misurate. In Etiopia, la danza veniva eseguita da tutti i sacerdoti. Essa consiste in un movimento circolare collettivo (di tipo \u201cgirotondo\u201d) o semicircolare; in quest&#8217;ultimo caso, i <em>qessotch <\/em>eseguono movimenti ritmici sul posto. Esse sono accompagnate da colpi di piedi sul suolo ed eventualmente da ansimi ritmati. (\u2026)<\/p>\n<p>I canti utilizzano principalmente una scala pentatonica anemitonica (gamma composta da cinque suoni, ciascuno distante di almeno un tono dal suo vicino). Alcune rare preghiere vengono eseguite su una scala tetratonica (quattro suoni). Il livello dei suoni \u00e8 pi\u00f9 o meno stabile; pu\u00f2 variare di un semitono o pi\u00f9. In effetti, lo <em>schema generale della melodia<\/em> prevale sul livello assoluto dei gradi e sulla dimensione degli intervalli. (\u2026)<\/p>\n<p>La musica liturgica degli Ebrei etiopi \u00e8 composta da un numero limitato di formule melodiche che circolano nell&#8217;insieme dei canti. Queste formule, generalmente costituite da gradi congiunti, possono presentare diverse facce; tuttavia il loro profilo melodico complessivo rimane facilmente riconoscibile all&#8217;udito. In definitiva, la musica ebraica etiope \u00e8 essenzialmente formularia e governata dal principio della <em>centonizzazione<\/em>.
