Secondo Michel L\u00e9vy, &#8220;i proprietari di Dounia erano dei conti francesi che possedevano delle propriet\u00e0 in Francia (\u2026). Avevano una sede in Algeria ed un&#8217;altra a Parigi, nel quartiere Strasbourg-Saint-Denis. Durante la guerra d&#8217;Algeria, Dounia, come Path\u00e9 o Teppaz, hanno venduto molti dischi in Algeria. Gli affari si sono fermati quando l&#8217;Algeria ha creato la sua moneta ed i \u00ab Pieds-noirs \u00bb sono partiti&#8230; Vi fu allora come una cappa di piombo sugli scambi commerciali tra l\u2019Algeria e la Francia. Per tutti questi artisti i gal\u00e0 non esistevano veramente, anche se vi erano ancora dei cabaret orientali a Saint-Michel od a Faubourg Montmartre. Questa vena creativa si interrompe all&#8217;inizio degli anni &#8217;70, quando l&#8217;etichetta Dounia non realizza quasi pi\u00f9 nuove registrazioni e si accontenta di sfruttare, in ristampe vinile o cassette, il suo catalogo di musica orientale che copriva una quindicina d\u2019anni.<\/p>\n<p>All&#8217;inizio degli anni &#8217;80, Michel L\u00e9vy, assunto da El Kahlaoui Tounsi come addetto stampa, rilancia il catalogo Dounia, che acquister\u00e0 quando quest&#8217;ultimo si ritirer\u00e0 negli anni &#8217;90.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-81348 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Raoul-Journo-288x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"260\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Raoul-Journo-288x300.jpg 288w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Raoul-Journo.jpg 336w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/>Poco dopo, Michel L\u00e9vy pubblica con Bruno Barre, presso M\u00e9lodie Distribution, diversi CD di Lili Boniche, Blond-Blond, Reinette l&#8217;Oranaise, Line Monty, Luc Cherki, Ren\u00e9 Perez\u2026 nella raccolta \u201cTesori della canzone giudeo-araba\u201d.
