Infatti, una mattina abbiamo aperto la cassetta della posta e abbiamo scoperto una scatola contenente decine di pagine di spartiti scritti a mano. Scritte in caratteri latini e cirillici, ci siamo subito resi conto che la maggior parte di esse erano canzoni yiddish. In molte delle pagine, un nome di origine slava compariva regolarmente. Ma a parte questo, non c&#8217;\u00e8 stato nulla, nessuna parola o messaggio che ci augurasse una buona accoglienza, o che spiegasse l&#8217;origine di questi spartiti. C&#8217;era solo un&#8217;iniziale, un nome e l&#8217;indirizzo del mittente. Cos\u00ec abbiamo indossato il nostro copricapo da detective, tirato fuori la lente d&#8217;ingrandimento e la pipa ed abbiamo iniziato la nostra indagine. Da dove potevano provenire questi spartiti?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-84650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/editeur-300x31.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"648\" height=\"67\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/editeur-300x31.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/editeur-600x62.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/editeur.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 648px) 100vw, 648px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Oggi fortunatamente siamo connessi al mondo intero e, con l&#8217;aiuto dei social network, siamo riusciti a trovare il nostro mittente misterioso. Un certo Bernard Peyrotte, direttore della libreria musicale Arioso della rue de Rome a Parigi. Mentre ripuliva la sua cantina, piena di spartiti, si imbatt\u00e9 in una scatola contenente i nostri bellissimi manoscritti. Con buon senso e conoscenza dell&#8217;Istituto Europeo di Musiche Ebraiche, ci ha inviato i documenti, sapendo che questo era certamente il luogo migliore per conservarli e renderli accessibili.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-84655 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/date-lieu-hebreu-300x286.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"286\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/date-lieu-hebreu-300x286.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/date-lieu-hebreu-600x572.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/date-lieu-hebreu.jpg 626w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Contattato per telefono, ci ha detto che purtroppo non sapeva nulla di questi spartiti che qualcuno gli aveva dato 10 o 20 anni fa.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;indagine continuava quindi&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Grazie ai social network, siamo finalmente riusciti a parlare con alcuni dei pi\u00f9 importanti studiosi di folklore ebraico, ed in particolare ashkenazita, degli Stati Uniti. Dopo numerosi scambi e l&#8217;invio di estratti di spartiti, siamo riusciti a dedurre che la maggior parte di questi erano opere non autografe di Joel Engel, talvolta definito &#8220;il vero padre fondatore del moderno revival musicale ebraico&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019enqu\u00eate est donc bien avanc\u00e9e, mais non scell\u00e9e. En effet, plusieurs questions demeurent non r\u00e9solues \u00e0 ce jour. Qui a retranscrit ces\u00a0partitions\u00a0? Elles datent ind\u00e9niablement de l\u2019\u00e9poque de Jo\u00ebl Engel, mais l\u2019\u00e9criture ne ressemble pas \u00e0 la sienne. \u00c9tait-ce un de ses amis ou coll\u00e8gue, un admirateur ou musicien\u00a0? Et comment sont-elles arriv\u00e9es \u00e0 Paris\u00a0? Qui les a d\u00e9pos\u00e9es\u00a0dans cette librairie musicale\u00a0? Le myst\u00e8re reste entier. Mais d\u00e9sormais, ces partitions sont en lieu s\u00fbr, num\u00e9ris\u00e9es, rang\u00e9es et accessibles sur notre catalogue en ligne.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;indagine \u00e8 quindi a buon punto, ma non \u00e8 ancora chiusa. In effetti, diverse questioni rimangono tuttora irrisolte. Chi ha trascritto questi spartiti? Risalgono senza dubbio all&#8217;epoca di Joel Engel, ma la calligrafia non assomiglia alla sua. Sarebbe uno dei suoi amici o colleghi, un ammiratore od un musicista? E come sono arrivati a Parigi? Chi li ha depositati in questa libreria musicale? Il mistero rimane. Ma d&#8217;ora in poi questi spartiti sono in un luogo sicuro, digitalizzati, archiviati e accessibili sul nostro catalogo online.<\/p>\n<p><a
