{"id":88940,"date":"2018-02-12T17:38:23","date_gmt":"2018-02-12T16:38:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/toscano-paul\/"},"modified":"2025-09-08T16:41:52","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T14:41:52","slug":"toscano-paul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/it\/toscano-paul\/","title":{"rendered":"Toscano, Paul"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Paul Toscano \u00e8 un violinista e direttore d&#8217;orchestra tzigano, noto in Francia e in Europa nella seconda met\u00e0 del XX secolo.<\/p>\n<p>Sappiamo relativamente poco dell&#8217;artista, tranne che \u00e8 stato violinista nell&#8217;orchestra dell&#8217;Opera di Parigi e che all&#8217;epoca era molto richiesto per l&#8217;animazione di matrimoni, ebraici.<\/p>\n<p>Alla fine della seconda guerra mondiale, mentre la musica tzigana \u00e8 ancora molto presente nei cabaret parigini, Toscano ne \u00e8 una delle colonne, insieme ad altri musicisti come Yoska Nemeth o Mirko Layosh. Tra i cabaret che frequenta Paul Toscano, troviamo il <em>Dianarzade<\/em> tra il 1951 ed il 1952, poi il <em>Raspoutine<\/em> dove dirige l&#8217;orchestra tzigana.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-13970\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/ls_toscano_500px.jpg\" alt=\"ls_toscano_500px.jpg\" width=\"252\" height=\"249\" align=\"right\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/ls_toscano_500px.jpg 252w, https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/ls_toscano_500px-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 252px) 100vw, 252px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I LP sono ancora agli inizi e vi sono poche testimonianze registrate della sua musica. Segnaliamo per\u00f2 la registrazione di alcuni titoli sotto l&#8217;etichetta Elesdisc, alla fine degli anni &#8217;40, etichetta creata da L\u00e9on Speiser nella sua libreria yiddish, al 34 rue des Rosiers, Parigi 4\u00b0 arrondissement.<\/p>\n<p>Verso la fine degli anni &#8217;40 ottiene il primo premio per la \u201cmusica di genere\u201d, categoria che premia in particolare opere presenti sui dischi 78 giri, intorno agli anni &#8217;30, e interpretate da piccole orchestre tipiche.<\/p>\n<p>Inoltre, Paul Toscano appare per la prima volta al cinema, nel 1947, nel film <em>Quai des Orf\u00e8vres <\/em>di Henri-Georges Clouzot.
