Questa danza ottiene la sua notoriet\u00e0 nel corso degli anni 1780 a Vienna e si diffonde in seguito in tutto l&#8217;Occidente.<\/p>\n<p>Si tratta di un ballo la cui musica \u00e8 generalmente scritta in misura \u00be, con un primo tempo forte seguito da due tempi deboli, sui quali la coppia che si abbraccia si muove sulla pista girando su se stessa.<\/p>\n<p>In Francia, la Rivoluzione del 1789 segna il declino dei balli di corte e la pratica comune del valzer. I primi utilizzi del parquet e delle scarpe in pelle permettono di passare dai passi saltanti ai passi scivolati.<\/p>\n<p>Dal 1840, i balli di sala sono nettamente separati dai balli classici e iniziano ad essere insegnati da maestri di ballo di sala.<\/p>\n<h3>Il valzer: un genere musicale apprezzato dai i compositori ebrei<\/h3>\n<p>Durante il Secondo Impero, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/it\/waldteufel-emile-1837-1915\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Emile Waldteufel<\/a> scrive numerosi balli (valzer, mazurche, ecc.) che lo rendono famoso. Nel 1865, particolarmente apprezzato da Eug\u00e9nie, diventa direttore di musica da ballo presso la corte imperiale di Napoleone III e pianista ufficiale dell&#8217;Imperatrice. Ha l\u2019incarico dell&#8217;animazione delle famose serate danzanti di Biarritz e Compi\u00e8gne. Dal 1867 l&#8217;orchestra Waldteufel accompagna i balli alle Tuileries, subentrando a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iemj.org\/it\/strauss-isaac-1806-1888\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Isaac Strauss<\/a>, che Berlioz defin\u00ec \u201clo Strauss di Parigi\u201d nelle sue memorie.<\/p>\n<p>Nella seconda met\u00e0 del XIX secolo, molti compositori &#8211;
