MUSICAL TRADITIONS – CHANUKAH, by Hervé Roten

Conference organized by the Institut Universitaire Elie Wiesel, as part of the Lundis de Wiesel series

As Chanukah approaches, immerse yourself in a journey to the heart of Jewish music that celebrates this festival of lights and miracles.
From Sephardic to Ashkenazi music, including Eastern and contemporary traditions, Hervé Roten reveals how these songs express resistance, identity, and joy, and tell the history and creativity of Jewish communities across time and space.
A sound and emotional experience where history, spirituality, and music come together.

A musical event to celebrate Hanukkah with meaning and emotion.
