The Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah is a private foundation recognized as a public interest association. Its endowment comes from the restitution by the State and concerned financial institutions of unclaimed funds that originate from the spoliation of French Jews during the Second World War.
With the financial products of this endowment, the Foundation subsidises the Mémorial de la Shoah (in Paris and Drancy) and supports projects that allow to expand the knowledge on the Shoah, to help struggling survivors, to pass on the heritage of Jewish culture, to fight antisemitism and promote the multicultural dialogue.
