Native of Géryville (Algeria), Zabulon Sebban (1911-1983) followed rabbinic studies with the great Rabbi Isaac Hanoune, before serving as a cantor in the Great Temple of Algiers

He married in Algiers Odette Cherqui, granddaughter of his master, with whom he had 6 children.

In the 1960’s, Zabulon Sebban followed the exile of the Jews who left Algeria to go to France and continued singing his faith Lunéville, Dijon and finally Paris.

This « home-made » CD, produced byr Zabulon Sebban’s children from recordings on audio cassettes, gather 26 songs of prayer : rom Biblical cantilation to famous melodies from the Algiers’ liturgy.
