In this radio program dedicated to Yiddish craddle songs, Hélène Engel presents the album Yiddish Lullabies released in 1993 by the Israeli Music label Tamuz Records Ltd.

This album gathers 17 Yiddish craddle songs sung by notorious performers such as Yossele Rosenblatt, Ben-Zion Witler or the Barry Sisters.

She is interested in all aspects of Jewish music, from the collecting of historical sounds to today’s compositions. Based in Montreal, she hosts the radio show ” The hidden sides of Jewish Music” on Radio SHALOM Montreal.
