Andalusian music: meeting with Ariel Carciente

Sabine Amsellem receives on her show Ariel Carciente, scholar, specialist of Piyoutim, of North African origin, and music lover, passionate of the Andalusian repertoire from North Africa.

Throughout this program we will cross the continents following the Arab-Andalusian music. We will hear about the renewal of this music especially in Israel where Ariel Carciente lives, observes and studies the Israeli musical life for many years.

Sabine Amsellem taught piano as well as music theory and culture at the Paris Conservatory. She then settled in Israel where she became producer of the radio programs “Andalusian Music” and “Music Forever” on Radio TAF in Tel Aviv.
