Symposium in Hannover : Magnified and Sanctified, The Music of Jewish Prayer

The 2nd International Conference on Jewish Liturgical Music Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media, Germany

This new edition results of the success of the first edition dedicated the music of Jewish prayer, which took place at the Leeds university (England) in 2015.

This year’s symposium is organized by the Europäische Zentrum für Jüdische Musik (EZJM) of the Hannover university and the Academic Wing of the European Cantors Association.

It is supported by the UCLA Lowell Milken for American Jewish music of the Herb Alpert School of Music, the Leeds university and the Jewish Music Institute SOAS, of the London university.

It should be noted that Hervé Roten’s conference, Director of the European Institute of Jewish Music, will be held on Sunday September 12, 2019 at 9h30, and called : “Psalm recitation in the Spanish-Portuguese rite (France): formulation processes and musical syntax”.
