If the Bible repeatedly mentions the use of musical instruments in the worship or daily life of the Hebrews, the description of these instruments is often incomplete. Thus historians and musicologists agree that David’s famous harp is actually a lyre.

Of all the instruments quoted in the Bible, only today remains the shofar. What have the other instruments become? What did they look like?
