Choir Shira veSimh’a

MJLF

The Shira veSimh’a choir of the MJLF meets once a week with choral conductor Charles Mesrine. It is a mixed ensemble that interprets in one or more voices liturgical or folk tunes in Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino, English or French. The whole is sung a cappella or accompanied in music.

The choir participates in the life of the community for services (Kabalat shabbath, Tishri celebrations, Hanukkah, Purim festivals) or occasional events (MJLF Full House, Yom HaShoah). It usually gives two annual concerts.

The rehearsals take place at the MJLF, 11 rue Gaston Caillavet, 75015 Paris, on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm.
